Are You Ovulating ?
Unfortunately, there is a concept of getting
periods is considered to be fertile. It is considered that if one gets periods,
she is fertile but the reality is quite opposite to it. The truth is that If
one gets period but does not ovulate, it means she is unable to conceive and if
one does not get periods but ovulate, it means she can conceive the baby. In
fertility, ovulation matters rather than periods. Due to this misconception,
people often take treatments in which they use progesterone in order to force
periods. In fact, these are not true periods due to pouring progesterone but it
is mere a bleeding. In some cases when body is in estrogen producing phase, the
infusion of the progesterone due to misconception of getting periods invites hormonal
imbalance. So, it is very necessary
to understand the phases of our cycle and the focus should be on ovulation
rather than getting periods.
There are two main phases in one cycle.
First phase is follicular phase. It starts from 1st day of the cycle.
It is also called estrogenic phase because of the production of the estrogen in
this phase. The second phase is called
Leautal phase which is actually the ovulation period. It ends the last day
before periods begins. This is the phase when egg finds sperm to conceive. In
this phase, estrogen is produced while in follicular phase progesterone is
produced by the body. There are many ways to get the signs of ovulation. However,
it is common conception that in 28 cycles day, 14th day is ovulation
day. But it is not necessary in all cases. There are some symptoms which reveal
ovulation days.
These days are wet days than normal days.
One can notice some mucus type liquid from
vagina.
Cramping
Pain in sex
These days have very positive effects on
mood.
Tests through ovulation kits.
There is another way to get one to check the
ovulation is preparing temperature chart. For this purpose, take orally
temperature of body early in the morning after awaking from the sleep even on
the bed. Make a chart and just remember body temperature falls down before
ovulation to get start and then it rises.
The chart will show the duration of each phase of cycle. It is recommended that
the lacteal phase should be more or at least have 12 days. The shorter lacteal
phase causes defect in pregnancy. Moreover if ovulation phase crosses the
eighteenth day, it may reveal chances of pregnancy.
